Giant cabbages

....what do you get if you have 24 hour daylight in the summer time??
Giant cabbages apparently!
...And giant rhubarb! The botanical gardens have some rare varieties too because after decade of keeping a seed and species bank, the national service stopped being funded and they were just going to through them out on the compost heap until they were rescued. They are cold tolerance testing the different types ....I can tell them now, you can't kill off rhubarb...or potatoes they just keep coming back!
