The largest pasty in the world

Alistair decided to pay me a visit on his way back from buying a new car in Cornwall
He told me he had bought a Toyota MR2 but I wasnt expecting him to have bought the 2 litre turbo , Japanese import version....he even confessed he had been planning to wait until I was out of the country to buy one
Nothing as scary as having your child buy a 200 BHP car at a tender age, not only that but it has only 2 seats and NO BOOT  not even enough space for the TV he "inherited" from his grandfather in January.
The Japanese import thing is probably viewed as a bonus in motor geek circles, Japan drive on the same side of the road as the UK so imports arent all that uncommon. I dont think he had thought it through because he isnt going to be able to get his stuff home from uni at the end of the term, I expect good old mum with her good old car will be called upon to assist!.

The reason he couldnt wait until I was out of the country is because he is coming with me , he picked the destination - San Fransisco I have no idea why but since it is served by an A380 it would have been rude to suggest somewhere else. After the brain freezing cold of Philly it will make a nice change and to have company will be nice.
No complicated routings, just Dublin to London to San Fransisco, I priced it from London and it was an extra £10,000 for the two of us. Dublin is bad but it would have to be a minimal fare difference to be worth starting at Heathrow.. I am looking forward to Brussels being the cheap starting point again, the lounge in Dublin is a bit boring and the seats are uncomfortable. Still, should be more comfortable than Al's new car.
..... The pasty? was a present from Cornwall from Al
